Wamsutta Middle School

Kelly Gavigan-Petit (Assistant Coordinator/MS Site Manager) Mrs. Petit is eager for her eighth year with the ABACUS program. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Language Arts from Rhode Island College. Mrs. Petit spends her free time cheering on the sidelines for her sons; Liam, 9 and Connor, 7. She enjoys cooking, reading, fantasy football, and looks forward to her family vacation to Block Island every summer. Mrs. Petit is expecting a lot of fun with her middle school students and can’t wait to see what they’ve got in store for her this year!

Alexa Holland (Assistant Provider) Ms. Alexa has been with the ABACUS program for four years. She is currently attending CCRI and hoping to get her associates degree shortly. Ms. Alexa loves meeting her new kids and getting to watch them change and grow over the school year. She is looking forward to a fun and safe school year with her students at Wamsutta!

Kayla Houle
(Assistant Provider) Ms. Kayla has worked for ABACUS for four years. She is working toward a degree at UMass Dartmouth in Marketing with a minor is Communication. Ms. Kayla loves helping and teaching her students and being able to watch them grow. She is looking forward to another great year at Wamsutta!

Kim Laramee (Program Coordinator) Ms. Laramee has been a part of ABACUS since 1995 spending a few years as a head teacher, assistant coordinator, and now the coordinator of the program! She has a degree in Elementary Education from Franklin Pierce University. Ms. Laramee spends her free time with her family; including five nieces and nephews, walking, gardening, and cooking. She enjoys meeting the new students each year, as well as seeing the returning kids and their families and how they grow through the years.

Tiffany Phan (Assistant Provider) Ms. Tiffany is starting her eighth year with ABACUS and is happy to be at Wamsutta. She is a graduate of Attleboro High School and is a Certified Nursing Assistant. Ms. Tiffany has a daughter Annabelle Riley who turned one in June. Ms. Tiff enjoys singing, trying new foods, basketball, and playing with her dog Izzy. She is looking forward to meeting the new students at Wamsutta this fall.

Kim Qualter (Lead Provider) Ms. Kim is happy to be starting her sixth year with the ABACUS program, but her first year here at Wamsutta. She is currently studying Criminal Justice. Ms. Kim doesn’t have much free time between college, ABACUS, and Bertucci’s she is always busy! She also has a two year old yellow lab named Bella.
