ABACUS Parent Survey

In between school, work, appointments, activities, and more, finding time for homework is difficult. At ABACUS we set aside time for students to work on homework, with access to the help and materials they need to be successful. Our staff can help guide the students with their homework.
The ABACUS homework policy is listed below.

It is the belief of ABACUS that there is a balance between student’s academic needs and their out-of-school time.  Children have a need to relax, have snacks, learn new skills, get exercise and develop social skills during this time.  We feel that homework immediately following school is overwhelming and therefore encourage children to participate in non-academic experiences first.  Individual sites are happy to motivate and assist students with homework assignments.  Please let your site staff know of your child’s needs and your concerns, but understand that it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to ensure homework completion.  ABACUS only supports the family in this endeavor.
